IT’S hoped that major improvement work at Golfdrum Street will happen soon following its new status as a Housing Regeneration Area. Fed-up residents have been working with Fife Council to upgrade blocks of flats on the road after setting up a Tenants and Residents Association (TRA). However, as some of the flats are occupied by private tenants, housing officials are now working on coming to an agreement regarding cost before progress can be made. Dunfermline Central councillor Garry Haldane said: “This street has been ignored for some time now which led to the residents forming a Tenants and Residents Association to bring the many issues to Fife Council’s attention and to focus on upgrading and maintaining the blocks of flats.
