He was sentenced A DRINK driver who had no insurance or licence has been disqualified from getting behind the wheel for 16 months. Ian Riley, of Twist Lane, Leigh drove a vehicle on Boundary Street on December 24, 2020 with 51 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath in his system. Riley, 38, pleaded guilty at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court to drink driving and to driving without a licence or insurance. He was fined £120 and made to pay a £34 surcharge and £85 in costs to the CPS, making a total of £239. Riley was disqualified from having a driving licence for 16 months, to be reduced by 16 weeks if he completes a course approved by the Secretary of State by December 4.
