FAIRFIELD What many may have known for a long time, Tom Ferrara made official Friday by posting on his re-election website he will run again for Solano County sheriff in 2022.
Ferrara, 60, has served as sheriff since 2012 and has been in the department for 38 years. He says it is too soon to retire and is proud to announce that he has the full support of the Deputy Sheriffs’ Association and the Correctional Officers Association.
“I love to go to work, I love the challenge and I love the people I work with,” Ferrara said. “If I can still do good, I’m happy to stay, but that’s up to the voters to decide. I’m excited and ready to go.”
