The Minnesota Vikings have had a busy off-season trying to improve on things from 2020. In many ways, the Vikings have had a spectacular few months, and should be well on their way to the postseason once again.
Here are 3 reasons you should believe in the Vikings in 2021:
The offensive line is FIXED.
It feels really good to be able to type out that statement above. The offensive line is fixed. For so many years the offensive line has been the downfall of a team loaded with talent at all other positions. But for once and for all we get to brag about our offensive line a little bit. There will be no more Dakota Dozier. Dru Samia shouldn’t sniff any playing time whatsoever. The Vikings finally have an identity in the offensive trenches.

On the Minnesota Vikings, you asked for it. And, alas, you got it.
For the first time in arguably 10 years, the Vikings have a golden opportunity to field an offensive line that is astute. Some groups of purple men from time to time amid the last decade have performed aptly with pass protection and run blocking but those are usually limited to “stretches” instead of longstanding continuances. The 2012 and 2017 seasons come to mind for somewhat formidable bunches of offensive trenchmen.
Minnesotans can feel the pass-blocking futility in their bones. The consistent, menacing criticism of the franchise is the offensive line. Seemingly every year hell, every game is plagued with “why can’t they figure out” this offensive line thing. To be clear, that critique is on-point.

The mystery surrounding the Minnesota Vikings 14th overall pick is officially solved.
For months, pundits and fans speculated that general manager Rick Spielman would trade up, trade down, pick a quarterback, draft an EDGE rusher, go with an offensive lineman, etc. About two of those “what ifs” were true.
Grading The Vikings Draft BEFORE The Draft By ShockN Awe on Apr 25, 2021, 11:52am CDT +
The problem with grading a draft after the draft? It s got no balls!
You know what I mean. Second-guess the hard work of others and with full hindsight of who was available when and how long they stayed available.
Also, bias and ego enter into it. Pete Prisco and national Cowboys harlot Gil Brandt will always give the Packers and Cowboys a notch or more higher grades and the move the Vikings an extra notch down. Prisco wants to please as many followers as possible and the Cowboys and Packers have the most fans. Brandt, quite simply, is in the employ of the Cowboys as a media bullhorn for them. He is literally paid by them! He is paid PR disguised as an objective analyst.

No second-round pick, two third-round selections, and four fourth-round picks? The Minnesota Vikings are interesting to draft for.
Trading around notwithstanding, the Vikings have the capital necessary to infuse this roster with a ton of developmental youth, owning eight selections on a 90 pick stretch between Nos. 78 and 168. I went heavy on the defense there, as I don’t think head coach Mike Zimmer will stand for the poor defense his team put on the field in 2020 and will demand better play across the board.
