Victoria was notified of three new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. All were locally acquired cases.
There are 200 active cases in Victoria – 190 locally acquired and 10 overseas acquired cases.
There are six COVID-19 cases in hospital in Victoria. Two cases are in intensive care (including one case on a ventilator).
The total number of confirmed cases in Victoria since the beginning of the pandemic is 20,942.

There were three locally acquired cases yesterday
All cases are linked to known outbreaks and have been in quarantine throughout their infectious periods. No new exposure sites have been generated from these new cases.

The Health Minister said the wastewater detection provided an “early warning signal” people would be wise to heed and urged people with symptoms to go for testing.
“We need to continue to follow the public health rules to make sure that we can stay open, and stay safe,” he said.
Mr Foley revealed the total number of active cases was dropping with only 200 active cases on Friday and just six people in hospital.
Meanwhile there were more than 43,500 test results received on Thursday and over 19,000 vaccines administered.
The state’s fifth lockdown ended at 11:59pm on Tuesday July 27 but a number of tough restrictions remain in place.
