New year, new month, new cake at Jule s Bistro for a new cause!
Jule s Bistro in downtown St. Cloud just announced their new cake for a cause. Last October, Jule s Bistro launched their C.A.K.E. campaign, or Culinary Acts of Kindness Encouraged. Each month, the bistro partners with a local charity, organization or non-profit to create a special cake with proceeds going back to that cause. December s cake was a chocolate gingerbread cake with cranberry-orange spiced curd, cranberry pastry cream and chocolate ganache, topped with dried oranges, fresh cranberries and cranberry/orange/ginger chocolate bark which saw proceeds going to support Pathways 4 Youth a St. Cloud-based youth resource center for youth ages 16 through 24 experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

This morning, as is every Tuesday, it s adoptable pet day here on the Loon. We got to talk with Kate from the Tri County Humane Society. She always lets us know of an available pet, and we get some details on the Pet of the Week .

Today s feature is Ace. Ace is a 3 year old mixed breed of Terrier and American Staffordshire. He is available for adoption. Right now he is housed with a foster family. But some things to know about Ace- he would probably do best with household where he is the only pet. Needs to be more socialized with other dogs, but he has been known to chase a few cats around, so that s probably not the best place for him to be. in a cat house. hmm and I mean that like actual cats. Just in case you were confused.
