Emmylou and Sassy: Rescue Pets of the Week

Emmylou and Sassy: Rescue Pets of the Week Times staff report Emmylou is an 8-month-old spayed mixed breed pup who is very much a puppy yet.  She’s been very sweet with staff and volunteers. Emmylou still has plenty of puppy energy and would benefit from regular exercise as well as someone who’ll work with her on basic obedience training. Emmylou loves her daily walks and durable chew toys. Check out the TCHS Re-Tail Shoppe for some fun toy and enrichment ideas! Sassy would like a word: She thinks her name is giving her a bad rap! She’s really a very sweet cat; she s just a girl who has boundaries. (And we applaud you for that, Sassy!)

Axel and Chippy: Rescue Pets of the Week

Axel and Chippy: Rescue Pets of the Week Times staff report These pets are available for adoption at Tri-County Humane Society, presented as a public service of the St. Cloud Times. Axel is a 5-year-old neutered Boxer mix who may do best as an only pet because he tends to chase cats and can be selective about which dogs he’s going to like. Axel was a great farm dog in his previous home; he did well around the livestock and enjoyed the wide open spaces. He loves to snuggle and even though he’s almost 80 pounds, he’ll find his way to your lap if you let him!.

Sassy The Cat Needs A Home & Family

Sassy The Cat Needs A Home & Family TCHS Meet Sassy! She came to TCHS as a transfer from another facility, so not much is known of her history. Has been friendly with staff since arrival, but she can get overwhelmed with too much change at once. Unknown how she would do with other animals or children. Slow and proper introductions are recommended when introducing new pets or people; ask TCHS staff for tips on introducing new family members! Is not a fan of being picked up, but openly welcomes pets. Would benefit from a high-quality, portion-controlled diet to help her lose some weight and keep her healthy well into the future.

TCHS Soliciting Auction Items for Upcoming Spring Fundraiser

(KNSI) – Later this month, the Tri-County Humane Society will host its annual Wine, Kibble and Bids fundraiser virtually. The online auction begins on April 23rd and ends on April 30th. TCHS special events coordinator Angela Mundis says last year, the fundraiser brought in $18,000 for the humane society, and those proceeds help TCHS pay for animals’ medical needs, like vaccinations and neutering. Though the auction hasn’t started, Mundis says one way people can help is by donating items to TCHS to put up for auction. “We kind of pride ourselves in our auction being very unique,” Mundis said. “We’ve got handmade pillows, we’ve had quilts in the past, garden chairs. We’ve had jam baskets in the past from people that work here at the shelter. We’re looking for those unique items.”
