Dallas lost a pillar in its music community when
Tim Daniels, co-owner of Club Dada, Off the Record, and other venues, passed away from COVID-19 complications on Saturday, Jan. 15. Daniels is remembered in the community as someone who was always there to support musicians and even patrons who needed some help. The Texas Tech soccer team will be without its most experienced quarterback next season Alan Bowman has announced his intention to move. He will graduate in May, after which he will enter the portal as a graduate transfer with three more years to qualify, thanks to the NCAA allowing players an additional year to qualify due to the COVID-affected 2020 season.
Bowman, who came to Lubbock from Grapevine High School, looked good playing like a real freshman on the 2018 Kliff Kingsbury offense, completing 69.4 percent of his passes for 2,638 yards with 17 touchdowns and seven interceptions. But he struggled to stay healthy during his time in Texas Tech, who played his first year in only eight games thanks to a collapsed lung.
