Newbuild homes in Bishopton are an example of some of the new homes Renfrewshire Council will be building RENFREWSHIRE will see 300 new homes built over the next ten years as part of a £100m investment in the area. Plans for the Regneration and Renewal Programme were given the go-ahead from Renfrewshire Council last week. New council housing will be built in Johnstone, Paisley and Renfrew in the first phase which will start in the new year. The move comes as part of the council’s two year Covid-19 recovery plan. Local authority bosses are hoping the new development will bring new job and training opportunities to the area and support the local authority’s commitment to climate change targets and improving fuel efficiency.
