HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – Horry County police believe the man killed in a shooting near the Myrtle Beach Manor was a bystander, department spokesperson Mikayla Moskov said Wednesday.
According to the Horry County Coroner’s Office, 28-year-old Peter E. Franco, of Myrtle Beach, was killed.
Officials said Franco, who was involved in the crash and the shooting, died at the scene. Two others were injured.

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – The man charged in a Horry County double homicide is accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl at gunpoint.
Arrest warrants state 44-year-old Antonio Long forced a 17-year-old to have sexual intercourse at gunpoint around the same time police allege he committed the double murders.
Following the alleged assault, Long forced the girl into a car and drove her out of state before letting her out of the vehicle, according to the arrest warrants.

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) â The Horry County Coronerâs Office has identified a woman who died after a fiery crash in Nichols.
Deputy Coroner Michelle McSpadden said 25-year-old Rachael Lopez from the Aynor area died at the scene Sunday morning on Nichols Highway.
Master Trooper Brian Lee with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said the crash happened at around 7:30 a.m. Sunday near Secondary 23. Lee said Lopez was traveling too fast for conditions, ran off the road and hit a tree.
