HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – One person was hurt in a crash early Wednesday morning in the Myrtle Beach area.
Crews were called to reports of an accident at 3690 Socastee Boulevard at 3:40 a.m., according to Horry County Fire Rescue.
Officials say one person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The public is asked to avoid the area as first responders work the scene.

Crews were called to the single-vehicle accident on Highway 57, just before the state lane, at 12:27 a.m., according to Horry County Fire Rescue.
Officials say one person was extracted from the vehicle and transported to the hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries was not immediately known.

LONGS, S.C. (WMBF) – Crews responded to a two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon in Longs.
According to information from Horry County Fire rescue, the collision involving a cement truck on its side happened on Highway 905 in Longs, just south of Highway 9.
Highway 905 is closed to traffic as crews work to clear the scene. They were dispatched at 1:25 p.m.

Officials said five people have been displaced and are receiving assistance from the Red Cross.

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – One person was taken to the hospital after a structure fire early Tuesday morning in the Myrtle Beach area.
First responders were called to a blaze on Bloomwood Drive at 4:06 a.m., according to Horry County Fire Rescue.
The fire was extinguished, officials said, but one person was hurt and transported for treatment. The extent of their injuries was not immediately known.
The cause of the blaze is currently under investigation.
