Her duties included making bank transfers for purposes such as payments to suppliers.
In March 2019, she received an iBanking token for the charity s Standard Chartered Bank account from her colleague, Mr Cuthbert Syn.
Mr Syn had instructed her to make fund transfers between the account and the organisation s other bank accounts.
Tan continued to keep the token after that, telling Mr Syn she had forgotten to bring it to the office when he requested it back on subsequent occasions.
Between April 4 and June 10, 2019, she made 133 unauthorised transfers from the Standard Chartered account, taking about $1 million in total.
Tan would first request for funds to be transferred from the charity s DBS Bank account to the Standard Chartered one, then e-mail the three signatories of the DBS account to have them approve the transfer.

Four new Covid-19 clusters have surfaced, one of which has four cases and involves a Punggol Primary School cleaner and another at Westlite Juniper Dormitory with nine cases.
The other two new active clusters are linked to individual cases, each having three cases linked to it, the Health Ministry (MOH) said yesterday. There are currently 39 active clusters.
The Jurong Fishery Port cluster, which remains the largest cluster to date, stands at 902 cases after 36 cases were added to it.
Another two cases were added to the KTV cluster, which now has 245 cases in total.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has found 10 new active Covid-19 clusters, including one linked to a general practitioner s clinic in Jurong West.
This brings the total number of active clusters in Singapore to 35, the highest number in the past month, MOH said in its nightly coronavirus update yesterday.
A total of three cases have been linked to Apex Medical Centre (Jurong), a clinic in Jurong West Street 92.
It is one of seven new clusters that have three infections each.
The remaining three new clusters have four cases each.
