50 Cent recruits Tasha Smith to direct episodes of ‘Black Mafia Family’

Actress Tasha Smith is making big moves behind the camera and has signed on to direct multiple episodes of the upcoming Starz television series “Black Mafia Family.” The series, which features 50 Cent as the executive producer, will be based on the lives of drug kingpins Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory.
“Black Mafia Family” will feature Wood Harris, Steve Harris, Da’Vinchi and Russell Hornsby. Big Meech’s son, Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr., will also portray his father in the series and rapper Kash Doll is part of the cast as well. An excited Smith posted the news on Instagram and tagged her cast and crew.
The rapper rapper Kash Doll also has a recurring role in the show. She’ll play Monique and actor Russell Hornsby will star as the family’s patriarch, Charles Flenory, according to All Hip Hop. Tasha Smith will direct the series, executive produced by Terri Koop and Anthony Wilson.
BMF is inspired by true events. It tells the story of two brothers, “Big Meech” and “Southwest T” who came from the troubling streets of southwest Detroit in the late 1980s. The Black Mafia Family is considered to be one of the most influential crime families who chased the American Dream however, things happened along the way that disrupted their brotherhood.

The View. It was beyond frustrating to see the way Elizabeth Hasselbeck was treated on the show and in the press. She didn’t stand a chance with 4-5 staunchly liberal women there to bully her whenever she presented a conservative opinion.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, the press would jump down her throat to join in the bullying, creating a false image of a ditzy, unintelligent woman who didn’t know which way was up. It was a full-on war on an innocent, conservative woman of faith who was obviously a threat to the left.
