Share this Post: Jammu, March 12: The protets by DDC Members was successful as Chairpersons of 20 DDC s in Jammu and Kashmir are likely to get the status aequivalent with Mayors. After the meeting Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha assured them that the Warrant of Precedence in respect of DDC chairpersons, vice chairpersons and members as per demands. “ Independent DDC member from Jammu TS Tony after meeting with the Lieutenant Governor announced suspension of agitation by the DDC members and said the talks were held in cordial atmosphere and the Government has agreed to redraft the Warrant of Precedence.
JAMMU: District Development Council delegates on Friday met the Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhavan Jammu. The interaction was held in a pleasant and amicable atmosphere.

Director Rural Sanitation J&K, Tariq Hussain Ganai, informed that the objective of this training programme is to develop conceptual understanding on the Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) guidelines, to create awareness on community led interventions for planning, implementation and monitoring of various components of this Mission and to demonstrate community-led processes and technological interventions of SLWM components at village level.
