However, a spokesperson for the BBC has now said that filming in the area has finished for now. A traditional gypsy camp, complete with wagons and other vehicles were set up in Lee Quarry. Fans flocked to the area to try and catch a glimpse of the cast members and filming in action. One person said they “enjoyed” catching glimpses of the show. Some people even managed to spot Cillian Murphy, who plays Thomas Shelby, filming his scenes.

The show is currently filming for its sixth and final series but the big question for many fans is: What could possibly come next for our favourite characters? Show creator and writer Steven Knight has been opening up about this and has spoken about the possibility of Peaky Blinders without Cillian Murphy, who plays the iconic Thomas Shelby.  Knight explains that, while he finds it very difficult to imagine, he would never say never.
