THREE men are charged with being involved in a string of cash box raids. Jason McLaren, 27, Andrew Pyke, 25, and Patrick Nisbet, 29, faced the accusations at the High Court in Glasgow. A £20,000 robbery is said to have occurred at the Townhead Post Office in Coatbridge on December 15 2019. Prosecutors claim a cash box containing £25,000 was stolen at the Clydesdale Bank branch in Baillieston on December 27. It is further alleged an attempt to rob a security guard of £25,000 happened at the TSB in the city’s Duke Street on January 3. The indictment states two cash boxes was then stolen also that day in Byres Road as well in Merkland Drive, Kirkintilloch.
