Anya Taylor-Joy believes it would be silly to rule out a second season of The Queen s Gambit.
The Emma actress portrayed chess champion Beth Harmon in the Netflix mini-series, and while a second edition of the show has yet to be confirmed, the star has admitted she would be silly to walk away from more instalments. It would be silly of me to go, There s never going to be a second series, and then I m 40, and Scott (Frank, showrunner) s like, Yo, how do you feel about this? You want to go back? she told Elle U.S. magazine.
Is the hit Netflix show set to make a return in 2022?
It was one of the standout shows from 2020; not to take away from Bridgerton, of course, which broke all records when it was released on Christmas Day. But nevertheless, The Queen’s Gambit was one of the big heavy hitters and a show we were all fascinated by from the get-go when it was released late last year.
Starring Anya Taylor-Joy and based off Walter Tevis’ 1983 novel, the series was like no other, following a chess prodigy by the name of Beth Harmon as she schooled her competitors and rose to fame in a male dominated sport, becoming the best there was.

Pistol, is coming to FX later this year. The six-episode series has some fans buzzing, but there s one person who isn t too keen on it: Sex Pistols frontman John Lydon.
In a new interview with the
Sunday Times, Lydon called the upcoming TV series the most disrespectful shit I ve ever had to endure.
He said that Boyle and co. did not contact him regarding the series despite having met when Boyle worked on the 2021 London Olympics.
