Miner stabbed during row at Eyelash Backdam A miner was yesterday stabbed during an argument with another man at Eyelash Backdam, North West District. Thomas James, 53, of Eyelash Backdam, was stabbed to the right side of his chest by the man, who is known to him. Police enquiries have revealed that at about 7am, the two men were involved in an argument when the suspect armed himself with a sharpened instrument attached to a piece of wood and dealt James a single stab. As a result of the wound to the chest, James fell to the ground, bleeding profusely. He was subsequently picked up by his 26 year-old daughter, who rushed him to the Pakera District Hospital at Matthews Ridge, where he was admitted as a patient.

Fulani Militants Kill Christians in Kaduna State

12/30/2020 Nigeria (International Christian Concern) – Attacks by Fulani militants against Christian communities in Kaduna state continued leading up to Christmas. At least 18 people were killed and many others abducted in the villages of Ungwan Waziri, Gwazunu, Gbaja Katarma, Galumi, Kugosi, Gora Gan, and Kujeni Tudu. These attacks all took place within a week of Christmas, with the abduction of a reverends wife on Christmas Eve. On Dec 17, 10 people were killed, by Fulani militants in Gora Gan village of Zangon Kataf LGA. That same day, other militants also attacked the village of Kujeni Tudu, killing one older man. On Dec 19, Rev. Luka Dani of the Evangelical Church Winning All in Galumi village was abducted. He was later released on Dec 23. It is unclear if any ransom was paid or why he was taken at this time. He has been forced to flee his home and church though.

On Dec. 24, armed Fulani men “mercilessly” beat the Rev. Luka Shaho of the Assemblies of God Church and then abducted his wife, Jumai Luka, in the Ungwan Waziri area in Chikun Local Government Area of central Kaduna state, the U.K.-based group Christian Solidarity Worldwide reported.
