As part of National Police Week, the Horseheads Kiwanis club recently presented its 22nd annual Police Officers of the Year awards to officers Patrick Audinwood of the Horseheads Police Department and Nicholas Roberti of the Elmira Heights Police Department.
Audinwood is a graduate of the Southern Tier Law Enforcement Academy. Roberti is a criminal justice graduate of Corning Community College. Permanent award plaques containing their names, and also prior Award recipients, will be on display at their respective headquarters.
Both honorees received plaques and were commended by their respective Horseheads Chief Thomas Stickler and Elmira Heights Chief Rick Churches. They also received proclamations from Horseheads Mayor Rob Maloney and Elmira Heights Mayor Margaret Smith, who were also in attendance. Sen.
