The Lotus Education & Arts Foundation has been approved for a $20,000 Grants for Arts Projects award from the National Endowment for the Arts.
The grant funds will contribute to the 2021 Lotus World Music and Arts Festival, supporting free programming that will help Lotus offer diverse multicultural music and arts experiences to underserved and economically disadvantaged groups within the community.

on the Lotus Facebook and YouTube pages. The concert will feature hip hop and reggae artist Vox Sambou and an archived performance from Trio Da Kali.
Vox, who writes and performs in Creole, French, English, Spanish, and Portuguese, is known for merging social activism and hip hop through the content of his music and his role as director of La Maison des Jeunes de Côte-des-Neiges, a Montreal-based cultural community center that provides young aspiring musicians with a place to develop their musical and creative talents.

The Lotus Education & Arts Foundation invites the community to stay connected during the dark winter months via the Lotus Third Thursdays Winter Virtual Concert Series. These free concerts will feature new artists and archived artist concerts on the Lotus Facebook and YouTube pages. The concerts will take place on Thursday, December 17; Thursday, January 21; and Thursday, February 18. All concerts begin at 7 p.m.
The inaugural Winter Concert on December 17 features an hour-long set from the dance-inducing band Nation Beat.
