THANE: A major fire broke out at a plastic factory in Vehloli Industrial Estate near Asangaon in Thane District on Tuesday morning.
The fire has now spread to entire unit and 12 fire engine are at the spot trying to control the blaze.

The fire broke out in SKY plastic factory at 5.30am. The fire official said around 500 to 600 workers, who were working inside, manage to escape before the fire spread to entire unit.

According to preliminary information, the incident took place around 5 am. No one was injured.

No casualty was reported, he said.

As soon as the firefighters from the Bhiwandi Nizampur City Municipal Corporation were alerted, they reached the spot and the fire was doused after about two hours, he said.
