UrbanGold Minerals Inc : UrbanGold Confirms Recent Regnault Discovery, Intersecting Gold in Three New Drill Holes

UrbanGold Minerals Inc.: UrbanGold Confirms Recent Regnault Discovery, Intersecting Gold in Three New Drill Holes UrbanGold or the Company ) is pleased to report the remaining assay results from its 10-hole drill program totalling 2,456 metres on its 100% owned 26,585-hectare Pallador Property (the Property ) in the Regnault area of the Troilus-Frotet region. The maiden drill program, executed in two phases, intersected gold in four holes, including visible gold within a quartz vein in hole UPR-21-09, located in the southeast part of the target area. Holes UPR-21-03, previously reported on February 24, 2021, and UPR-21-08, both intersected gold associated with highly magnetic diorites with carbonate alteration. In contrast, hole UPR-21-10 intersected gold within a magnetic low between the two mineralized magnetic highs. All holes drilled in the magnetic highs, including the important 900-metre-long magnetic feature, have intersected significant gold. Best results are shown i

How the World s Largest Aquamarine Gem Came to Be | Smithsonian Voices | National Museum of Natural History

March 16th, 2021, 6:00AM / BY Abigail Eisenstadt Dom Pedro aquamarine was cut from a 100-pound crystal that was mined in the late 1980s. It weighs around 4.6 pounds, making it one of the largest aquamarine gemstones in the world. (Donald E. Hurlbert, Smithsonian) For those who study what happens when magma and crust collide, igneous rocks like pegmatites are a welcome sight. But in addition to holding clues about Earth’s mineral and geologic processes, pegmatites deposits are known for containing diverse and richly colored mineral crystals that can be cut into spectacular gems. One of the largest if not best example is the Dom Pedro Aquamarine.

There s a Reason Giant Sinkholes Keep Swallowing Things, But We Can Make It Stop

There s a Reason Giant Sinkholes Keep Swallowing Things, But We Can Make It Stop ARYA ASSADI LANGROUDI, THE CONVERSATION 16 MARCH 2021 First, it swallowed a car. A few hours later, two terraced buildings. At 9pm on January 20, a crater measuring 4 sq. meters appeared in Walmer Street, Manchester. Another sinkhole shocked local Scottish walkers, swallowing a section of coastal path between Dysart and West Wemyss on February 4. And, in early March, a sinkhole in Cumbria opened up beneath a farmer riding a quad bike. He was rescued by firefighters and taken to hospital.   These are only recent examples from the UK. The ground opening up and engulfing whatever lies in its path is a pretty common occurrence. Globally, for every 0.1℃ rise in temperature, the number of sinkholes increases by 1-3 percent.
