The man whose lifelong collection makes up Craig’s Cowboy and Gunfighter Museum took his ride into the sunset late last year, but a new honor helps ensure he won’t long be forgotten.
Bill Mackin, a longtime resident of northwest Colorado, was recently inducted into the National Bit, Spur & Saddle Collectors Association hall of fame. For years, Mackin hosted tours and curated exhibits at Craig’s Museum of Northwest Colorado.

Riverside Park at Quincy has virtually changed hands for the controlling interest in the resort has been taken up by Robert Young, wholesale liquor dealer of Columbus, formerly of Belle Center. Last week, Young purchased for $2,500 from Mr. Allinger, the ground on which the park stands, which had been leased by the former company for five years. He also purchased the stock of 14 Quincy stockholders, paying about par for it. He did not acquire the 11 shares held by Sidney parties. -
The firm of Knox and Robinson, owners of the flour mill two miles east of Sidney, have dissolved partnership, T.L. Robinson retiring. The business will hereafter be conducted by Gregg Knoxx.

Don Bailey, Successor Trustee to Arno L. Renner, Charles Renner and Patrick and Whitney Bailey, successor landowners and operators of lands preserved by the Arno L. Renner Trust and over which Arno Renner donated an Agricultural Easement to the Ohio Department of Agriculture in 2003 filed the lawsuits in Union County Common Pleas Court.
The lawsuits:
1) ask for a writ of mandamus to the ODA, the holder of the Ag Easement, to enforce its terms, and 2) seek injunctive relief and a declaratory judgment against Columbia Gas of Ohio who seeks to acquire commercial gas pipeline easements to construct the Marysville Connector.
