Wadworth have started taking dates for both foodand rooms at the iconic Devizes building. The hotel has 24 rooms plus a large ballroom and formal dining restaurant. Unlike other Wadworth managed houses, The Bear did not re-open in July last year when coronavirus restrictions eased and only started serving drinks again in September. Court lists Here are some recent cases to be heard before the courts in Swindon and Salisbury. CHIPPENHAM: Shane Bowers, 33, has been fined £216 after using a mobile phone while driving. Bowers, of Frog Lane in Great Somerford, was caught on July 2 last year on the B4069 Sutton Benger Road. He pleaded guilty on March 2. ROYAL WOOTTON BASSETT: Adam Williams, 40, faces a number charges. He allegedly damaged a perspex protection screen and two pairs of headphones, to the value of £120, at the Best One Store and Longleaze in Royal Wootton Bassett on November 13 last year. Williams, of Shakespeare Road, is also accused of beating four separate people and being in possession of both an extendable baton and cannabis on the same date. No plea has been listed and the case will call again later this year.
