BETHESDA, Md., March 3, 2021 /PRNewswire/ A diverse group of community finance organizations today announced the Southern Opportunity and Resilience (SOAR) Fund, which aims to raise $150 million to provide affordable capital and free business support to small businesses and nonprofits in 15 southern and southeastern states to help them navigate and rebuild from the Covid-19 health and economic crisis.
The SOAR Fund was created by community lenders in the South to provide economic recovery loans to small businesses in their communities at a time when they are facing unprecedented health and economic challenges. The $50 million fund will focus on investing in affordable residential housing projects and mixed-use commercial developments in New Jersey Opportunity Zones. LCOR and Ares Management sold the 256-unit Montclair Apartment Homes property to Priderock Capital Partners for $58.7M. The property at 3525 Sheffield Manor Terrace is in northern Silver Spring, near the interchange of Columbia Pike and Route 200.
