Impact Wrestling kicks off their Thursday night era on AXS TV with the in-ring TV debut of AEW World Champion Kenny Omega.
As has been the case in recent weeks on Dynamite, Omega will be in trios action, teaming with The Good Brothers to take on Impact World Champion Rich Swann, Willie Mack, and Eddie Edwards. Omega and Swann will battle in a title vs. title match later this month at Rebellion.
In another trios match, Jordynne Grace, Havok, and Rosemary will face Tenille Dashwood, Alisha, and Nevaeh in a preview of this Saturday s Knockouts title no. 1 contender s weapons match at Hardcore Justice. Havok and Nevaeh just broke up their team, adding intrigue to this one.
Impact Wrestling is airing on a new night tonight. Well, a new old night. Wanting no part of WWE NXT, which will move to Tuesdays starting next week, Impact Wrestling airs on its original night, Thursday this week and for the foreseeable future. And for the first show back on Thursday nights, Impact has a big main event planned: AEW Champion Kenny Omega will wrestle, teaming with the Good Brothers to take on Impact champ Rich Swann, Willie Mack, and Eddie Edwards.
Last night on AEW Dynamite, Omega reunited with the Young Bucks when they turned on Jon Moxley to rejoin the Elite. Since Impact is taped well in advance, who knows how that may impact tonight s show, but wouldn t it be nice for Generation Me to make their TNA return? No? Well, there s plenty of other stuff planned for tonight as well, including a six-woman Knockouts tag team match, Deaner vs. Chris Sabin, and surely more to be announced during the show.
A three-way X-Division title match and a battle between former friends and tag team partners have been added to Impact Wrestling s Rebellion pay-per-view.
Announced Thursday, Ace Austin will defend the title against Josh Alexander and TJP. He recently regained the belt after defeating TJP and has been feuding with both he and former Tag Team Champion Josh Alexander in recent weeks. The three men will be involved in a tag team match Saturday at Hardcore Justice where each of them has to find a partner.
Matt Cardona vs. Brian Myers was also added to the April 25th show. Cardona challenged Myers several weeks ago but his former tag team partner had no interest. Then during Cardona s match against Jake Something Thursday, Myers ran out and attacked both men and accepted the challenge. He tried to injure both men s eyes, leading to Tommy Dreamer also booking a Myers vs. Something hardcore blindfold match for Saturday.
Impact Garners Highest Audience In Weeks On New Night

Thursday’s taped Hardcore Justice go-home edition of Impact Wrestling, featuring a six-man main event that saw Impact World Champion Rich Swann, Willie Mack and Eddie Edwards defeat AEW World Champion Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers, drew 168,000 viewers on AXS TV, according to Showbuzz Daily. The show drew a 0.06 rating in the key 18-49 demographic.
It should be noted that this is the first Impact episode to air on Thursday nights.
This week’s Impact ranked #115 on the Cable Top 150 for the key demo, and ranked #135 for the night on cable in viewership.
