“If each of these articles passes, total taxes will decrease $61,348.8 in Jay,” Albert said. “They will increase $14,851.19 in Livermore and $27,947.62 in Livermore Falls.”
A home valued at $100,000 in Jay would see no increase; one in Livermore would be taxed $7 more than this fiscal year; one in Livermore Falls would be taxed $16.20 more than this fiscal year.

JAY Residents will consider a proposed $5.28 million budget for 2021-22 and elect three selectpersons and two school board directors at the annual Town Meeting on April 27.
Polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Spruce Mountain Middle School gym.
The budget proposal is $12,800 less than for 2020-21. After factoring in an estimated $2 million in revenue, the net municipal budget would be about $3.21 million. It represents a decrease of $7,274, or 0.22%, from this fiscal year, which ends June 30. This does not include the town’s share of the Regional School Unit 73 or Franklin County budgets, which have not been set.

The polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the gym at Spruce Mountain Mountain Middle School.
Lee Ann Dalessandro and Randy Richards are vying for the seat vacated by Judy Diaz last year. She is 62, lives on Belleview Drive and retired in 2018 from banking where she specialized in property financing. He is 62, lives on Bean Road and retired in 2020 as a papermaker.
The two answered questions related to town government, including the 2020 rupture of the digester at the Androscoggin Mill and anticipated valuation changes and what it will mean to the town.
