Council calls for more support as Warrington is set to enter tier 3 WARRINGTON Borough Council has said more Government support is needed following the devastating news that the town will enter tier 3. Following a government announcement this afternoon, Wednesday, Warrington will move into the ‘very high’ Covid local alert level from 00.01am on Boxing Day. Leader of the Council, Cllr Russ Bowden, said: We are disappointed to see the recent acceleration of rates of infection in Warrington. Our communities and businesses have played their part in avoiding tier 3 restrictions up to this point, and I would like to pay tribute to them, and to our local public health teams, for their amazing dedication and commitment.

Distinguished Belarusians honored with state awards MINSK (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed decrees to honor 78 representatives of various professions with state awards, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
