TAMPA, Fla. Pinwheels are the national symbol for Child Abuse Prevention Month. According to Kelley Parris from the Children s Board Hillsborough County, pinwheels have come to serve as the physical embodiment or reminder of the great childhoods we want for all children. They also remind us of the importance of supporting all children and families. Child abuse is a community issue where we all have a role to play. Floridians can report abuse by calling 800-962-2873. There will also be a virtual Mandatory Reporter Training that will be held Tuesday, April 13, and will broadcast live on the Children s Board Facebook Page.
