Author: Associated Press Updated: 9:59 AM CST January 7, 2021 A woman was shot and killed Wednesday afternoon inside the U.S. Capitol building as Trump supporters tried to break into the House Chamber.  DC s Mayor Muriel Bowser and DC Police Chief Robert Contee III said that as the rioters tried to gain access to the House Chamber after breaking into the U.S. Capitol building, a plain-clothed US Capitol Police officer fired one shot, striking a woman. She was transported to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.

ZUMAPRESS.com At least four people have died during riots at the US Capitol on Tuesday, according to police in Washington DC. Three people died from medical emergencies, according to law enforcement. One woman was shot by Capitol Police. “We will not know the cause of death – we believe some type of medical emergency,” Washington DC’s Metropolitan Police Department chief Robert Contee said on Tuesday night. “The gunshot wound victim … she is the one transported from the scene to an area hospital.”

WASHINGTON - One of four people who died when a mob of President Trump supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol Wednesday was a woman from Georgia, officials said. D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Rober Contee identified the woman as 34-year-old Rosanna Marie Boyland of Kennesaw, Georgia. He said the cause of her death was a medical emergency.   Two men also suffered medical emergencies and have died, according to Contee. Another woman, identified as 14-year Air Force veteran, Ashli Babbit, of San Diego was shot and killed during a standoff inside the Capitol between law enforcement and protesters.
