File photo.   Follow standard operation protocols for effectively managing COVID-19: Uttarakhand Chief Secretary The Uttarakhand government has asked the devotees/pilgrims intending to attend Kumbh Mela in Hardwar, which started on Saturday and will continue till April 30, to take precautionary measures relating to COVID-19. Uttarakhand Chief Secretary Om Prakash, in a letter addressed to Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, said devotees intending to attend the Kumbh Mela should follow the standard operation protocols for effectively managing COVID-19. Based on the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the SOP also makes it compulsory for devotees to bring a medical fitness certificate and an e-pass or e-permit issued to them after registering on the Kumbh Mela web portal, Chief Secretary Om Prakash said.
