PNP prohibits hatid-sundo arrangement, then retracts

August 05, 2021 POLICE prohibited on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, motorists claiming to be fetching an authorized person outside residence (Apor), but retracted this a day later and imposed conditions for a “hatid-sundo” arrangement during the two-week lockdown in Metro Manila. Unauthorized persons outside residence who bring or fetch an Apor to work must present to the police manning the checkpoints the following: certificate of employment of his or her Apor passenger; business permit of the Apor’s employer; and certification from the worker Apor identifying his or her driver, vehicle information and contact number. Otherwise, they will not be allowed to pass through the checkpoints, Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Guillermo Eleazar said Thursday, August 5.

Give it bahay-bahay nalang. Everything should really be coordinated,” MMDA Chairman Benhur Abalos said in a virtual townhall session Wednesday on the upcoming NCR lockdown.
