Sheikh Ahmad Gumi led a delegation to former President Olusegun Obasanjo in Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Sunday, over the insecurity in Nigeria.
They demanded that all persons bearing arms illegally must be punished and that special courts should be created to handle cases of banditry, kidnapping, among other crimes.

Several Islamic clerics on Friday took turns to offer prayers to God for the eternal repose of the late first Civilian Governor of Lagos State, Lateef Jakande, at the pre-burial prayer in Lagos.
The burial which is slated for the evening at Vaults and Gardens cemetery, was preceded by pre-burial Islamic prayers at his residence on number 2 Bishop St., Ilupeju, Lagos State.
The League of Imams and Alfas from Mosques and several personalities attended the pre-burial prayer for the late ex-governor.
