UK Police Break up London Boat Party With Over 70 Guests British police on Saturday night broke up a party being held on a boat with more than 70 guests in attendance, in breach of CCP virus restrictions, London police said. The Metropolitan Police said it received reports of a large gathering on a moored boat on Saturday evening. The boat party in Ealing, West London, was organised on social media and the 72 people found by officers on Saturday could face fines of £800 ($1,095) each for breaking regulations. The organiser could be fined £10,000. This was a blatant breach of the coronavirus rules that are in place to save lives, Detective Chief Inspector Thomas Bowen of Metropolitan Police said.
