2018 Senate polls: Brother of ex-MPA says he has evidence of horse-trading

National February 26, 2021 TIMERGARA: The brother of a former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf lawmaker on Thursday claimed that he had undeniable evidence of the sale and purchase of votes during the 2018 Senate elections. Mohammad Ayan, a brother of former PTI Member Provincial Assembly Nagina Khan, told reporters at Talash town in Lower Dir district that he would like to provide enough proof to the three-member ministerial probe committee if it wished so. He claimed that his sister Nagina Khan, who was elected on a reserved seat for women in the 2013 general election on the PTI ticket, had also sold her vote by receiving money from the PPP and PTI candidates for the Senate.

JI lawmaker complains of money factor in Senate elections Peshawar February 20, 2021 TIMERGARA: Parliamentary leader of Jamaat-e-Islami in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly and former senior minister Inayatullah Khan on Friday said that both the ruling and opposition parties had awarded Senate tickets to billionaires for allegedly buying parliamentarians’ votes. Inayatullah said this while speaking at a ceremony in Talash area where more than 60 people from various parties announced joining the JI. ASI among four arrested for fraud in Lower Dir National February 18, 2021 TIMERGARA: Police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested four persons including an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of Talash Police Station who had allegedly deceived a cabdriver by putting fake currency notes inside his car. Talking to this correspondent, station house officer (SHO) of Talash Police Station Ayub Khan said on February 12, they had arrested a taxicab driver Muhammad Asad Aslam hailing from Taxila, Punjab and recovered counterfeit currency of Rs1,89,000 from his possession. “After conducting an investigation into the matter on the directives of the district police officer (DPO) Lower Dir, it was revealed that one Arshad, hailing from Thana area of Malakand, had booked the cab in Taxila, while ASI Abdul Wahab Khan, Nooran Shah and Qabil Sher, hailing from Talash area, were also his accomplices and the gang was involved in deceiving the innocent driver,” he said.
