The Jets will likely be looking for a new head coach. Over the next few days we are going to introduce some potential candidates in a series of articles. Surely not all of the candidates we profile will get an interview. It is likely the Jets will speak with candidates who won’t appear on the initial lists. One day after being awarded to the Packers off waivers from the Seattle Seahawks, 2016 all-pro defensive tackle, Damon “Snacks” Harrison completed his first practice as a member of the Green Bay Packers.
Packers Head Coach Matt LaFleur could use Harrison’s run-stuffing ability as early as Sunday’s regular season finale against the Chicago Bears.
“Hopefully he can get acclimated pretty quickly,” LaFleur told reporters Thursday afternoon. “He’s a really good run defender and he has been for a really long time. Just excited to get him in the building.”
The 32-year old Harrison was a healthy scratch in Seattle’s week-16 match-up against the Los Angeles Rams. Unhappy with the decision, Harrison requested – and was granted – his release earlier this week.
