Hyderabad, June 2 : About a dozen top leaders of the banned CPI-Maoist are suffering from Covid-19, revealed a top Maoist arrested in Telangana s Warangal Urban district.
The Maoist leaders who are infected with Covid includes two Central Committee members Katakam Sudharshan alias Aanand, and Tippari Thirupathi alias Devuj.
This has been revealed to police by Dandakaranya Special Zone Divisional Committee (DKSZCM) Secretary, Gaddam Madhukar alias Mohan alias Shobroy, who was arrested on Tuesday in Warangal when he was coming to Hanamkonda town for Covid treatment.

Warangal: As part of his Warangal visit, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Friday reached MGM Hospital in Warangal at 12.45 PM and went straight to the ICU ward where Covid patients were being treated to check on their well-being.
He inquired about the treatment being given to them and spoke to the patients there and asked them not to worry or entertain any fear about Covid.
A patient named Venkatachari from Matte Wada told KCR that he was getting good medical treatment. The emotionally charged man after seeing KCR in-person raised slogans hailing the CM saying, KCR Zindabad and KCR is my life. The CM went to each bed and spoke to the patients there and asked them about the treatment and enquired about their welfare. Later, he visited the General ward and interacted with the patients there as well. He also went around the MGM Hospital and inspected the facilities available there.

Warangal police nab gang looting online shoppers with gift baits

Warangal police on Friday busted Mancherial district-based 13-member gang duping people with false offers of online gifts. An amount of ₹14.36 lakh, 15 mobile phones and scores of scratch cards were recovered from them, said Warangal Police Commissioner Tarun Joshi.
Addressing a press conference, Mr. Joshi said the gang operated from a rented flat in Kolkata of West Bengal. Three others engaged by the gang to assist them are absconding and a hunt is on to nab them.
The kingpins Ippa Raj Kumar and Tallapally Damoder Goud, both from Bellampally, hatched a plot to trick people into parting with money throwing online shopping gifts as baits.
