The Narsapura plant of Wistron Corporation, a Taiwan-based company that manufacturers devices for many companies including Apple, was ransacked by disgruntled employees on Saturday. Kolar district police officials said the employees were unhappy over delayed salaries. A probe has been initiated.

The Tumakuru district police has busted an international gang in Karnataka, which siphoned off lakhs by cloning debit cards. Police said that with the gang bust, they have cracked at least 60 such cases of debit card fraud in the district over the last couple of months.
The long-standing demand to increase the term of Mayor is provided in the new bill. The term of office of the Mayor and Deputy Mayor is increased from one year to a period of five years, from the date of his/her election and shall continue in office till his successor is elected.
According to the bill, Bengaluru will have two mayors in five years, each getting a 30-month tenure.
