Congrats to our March Teacher Salute Winner - Mr. Mike Brodhead, 3rd Grade Teacher at Lower Nazareth Elementary School. Mr. Brodhead was nominated by parent: Beth Janis and her daughter Hailey.
Below is what Beth had to say about Mr. Brodhead: Mr. Brodhead is teaching a cyber class with 34 students. Not only are they all learning, but they are also having fun! The class does science experiments with supplies from him nearly every week! He spends time after class letting the students host virtual clubs (dance, art) to ensure they get enough socialization time. I am overly impressed with his ability to educate 34 students on zoom while giving them each personalized attention. My daughter feels 100% connected with him and her classmates. He has an associate teacher named Mrs. Rowbottom who is also fantastic. The school PTA hosted a virtual variety show that she coordinated. Over zoom the 2 teachers were able to record the class performing It s a Hard K
Spreading love is not a one-way street; it goes full-circle. Here at Rowlett Academy, kids are spreading messages of love to seniors, and seniors are doing the same to them.

Congrats to our January Teacher Salute Winner - Ms. Kirsten Tomasello, 1st Grade Teacher at Shoemaker Elementary - East Penn School District. Ms. Tomasello was nominated by her daughter Adrianna.
Below is what Adrianna had to say about her mom: She works day and night to help her students succeed. I see it first hand at home as I am her daughter. She s always checking up on virtual work and planning fun and educational lessons even after the work day is over. All of her current and past students adore her. No challenge is too large when she advocates for her students education. The needs of her students are put over her own every single day inside and outside of the classroom.
