According to the Tybee Island Police Department, it happened just after 4 p.m. at the intersection of Butler and Tybrisa. Tybee police say after the driver hit the building, the suspect left the scene. The driver was eventually captured near Butler and 3rd Street and charged with criminal damage to property, hit and run and driving under the influence. No one was seriously injured.
