Marlin Ike Kindinger of Mansfield, Ohio, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at the age of 89 at his home. He was born January 28, 1931 in Crestline, OH to Theodore Kindinger, Gladys (Douglas) Kindinger Powell and Step-father Robert Powell. As a boy he won the soap box derby competition in Mansfield and went on to race at the soap box derby nationals in Akron. He graduated from Madison High School and attended Ohio State University. He then was drafted into the Army to support the military Korean War effort. He married Nancy Riley on March 3, 1951 and they had three children. He loved his family and was a Dad who played card games, planned surprise impromptu trips, and spent focused time with his children. He was co-owner of Charvid Construction Company builders of homes, gas stations and swimming pools around the state.
