A resident of Homel,
Ihar Krauchanka, has been on a hunger strike for sixteen days in a temporary detention center in Buda-Kashaliova. He protests against the unjust arrest, Radio Svaboda reports.
The hunger strike was reported by his friends, who recently brought a package with linen and books to Buda-Kashaliova. They also gave Ihar water, juice, and tea. The Buda-Kashaliouski District Department of Internal Affairs does not directly answer the question of whether the arrested person is on a hunger strike or not. The attendant replies that he has the right to refuse food.
On January 25, the Savetski District Court of Homel arrested Ihar Krauchanka for 15 days. Nobody got to the trial. The office said afterwards that he was convicted under Article 23.34 of the Administrative Code - for participating in an unauthorized action, but which, where, and when, was not informed.

MARDAN: The immunisation of the frontline healthcare workers of Medical Teaching Institution (MTI) Mardan against the COVID-19 virus began here on Thursday.
The process was launched by administering the first vaccine to a frontline healthcare worker, Dr Awais Shaukat, at a ceremony held in the Benazir Bhutto Children Hospital (BBCH).

The office of the deputy commissioner had provided the coronavirus vaccines. The Chinese government has gifted 05 million doses of vaccine to the government of Pakistan.

Islamabad: The COVID-19 claimed life of an educationist, Zahoor Ahmed Mughal at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) here on Wednesday.
Zahoor Mughal, principal of the Islamabad Model School for Boys (IMSB), G-11/2 was admitted at Isolation Ward of PIMS on November 30 and later he was put on ventilator due to his critical condition.
The deceased was Ph.D scholar after doing M.Phil in Chemistry. Earlier, he also acted as vice principal of Islamabad Model College for Boys (IMCB), G-9/4. The funeral prayer of the deceased held at Sector I-10/4 was attended by a large number of colleagues, teaching staff, friends and officials of the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE).
