It s kind of a heart-felt deal for McAlester because the McAlester-based 445th Military Police Company of the Oklahoma National Guard was deployed to the Middle East during Operation Desert Storm. If anyone is a Desert Storm veteran or family of a Desert Storm vet, we will have a special section for the

Lockheed Martin has been awarded a not-to-exceed USD138 million contract modification for Taiwan’s ‘Peace Phoenix Rising’ programme, which is aimed at upgrading the Republic of China Air Force’s (RoCAF’s) fleet of F-16A/B Fighting Falcon multirole fighter aircraft to the latest F-16V Block 70/72 configuration.
The US Department of Defense announced on 26 April that the modification is for “the development and fielding of capabilities for the Automatic Ground Collision Avoidance System [Auto GCAS] and AGM-88 High-speed Anti-radiation Missile [HARM], improvements in radar software maturity, an update to the data acquisition system, and advanced identification friend-or-foe” systems, adding that work will be performed in Fort Worth, Texas, and Taiwan, and is expected to be completed by 30 September 2022.

In March, the U.S. Navy retaliated after Libyan forces launched surface to air missiles at Navy aircraft. On April 2, 1986

Here s What You Need to Remember: Despite the platform’s success, the United States Air Force opted to retire the F-117 in April 2008. The Air Force ultimately retired the Nighthawk as a cost-saving measure as the service struggled to pay for the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor.
It was an aircraft that may have simply been ahead of its time. The Lockheed Martin F-117 Nighthawk was the first operational aircraft to be designed around stealth technology, and while commonly referred to as a “stealth fighter,” it was actually a ground attack aircraft. The platform was developed during the late 1970s in response to an Air Force request for an aircraft that would be capable of attacking high-value targets without being detected by enemy radar.
