Mar 15, 2021 The California Department of Water Resources released the draft  California’s Groundwater – Update 2020, containing information on the condition of the state’s groundwater, which is especially important as the Golden State faces a critically dry water year.  DWR encourages community members and water managers to review the publication and provide input. “Water touches nearly every aspect of our lives. Groundwater provides drinking water to millions of Californians, sustains natural environments and farms, and helps support jobs,” said DWR Director Karla Nemeth. “The information in  California’s Groundwater – Update 2020 is vital to local water agencies and communities as they work on locally driven solutions for the long-term reliability of their groundwater.”
