Clandestine laboratory dismantled at Broken Hill
Police have located and dismantled a clan lab as part of investigations into the manufacture of prohibited drugs in the state’s Far West.
As part of ongoing investigations into the manufacture and supply of methylamphetamine in the Broken Hill area, detectives from Barrier Police District, assisted by the Proactive Crime Team executed a search warrant at a home on Boughtman Street just after 7am on Wednesday (Wednesday 20 January 2021).
During the search, police located and seized methylamphetamine, cannabis, drug paraphernalia, mobile phones, a replica firearm and prohibited weapons.
Equipment and chemicals, consistent with the supply and manufacture of prohibited drugs, were also located.

Three women have been critically injured after their SUV crashed in the Riverina yesterday.
Emergency services were called to the Sturt Highway, 15km east of Balranald, about 3:50pm (Thursday 24 December 2020), after a westbound Toyota Prado left the road and rolled multiple times.
The driver, her 47-year-old front-seat passenger, and a 25-year-old woman in the back seat sustained critical injuries.
Passers-by – including an off-duty doctor – rendered assistance until emergency services arrived.
The driver has been flown by helicopter to The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne with severe head injuries; she is described as being in a critical and unstable condition.
The two adult passengers were flown by separate fixed aircraft to Royal Melbourne Hospital. Police have been told the older woman has severe head injuries, while the younger woman is described as being in a critical condition.
