BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Some Baton Rouge area schools will be closed Wednesday, Feb. 17 due to freezing weather conditions and ongoing power outages.
All 12-month employees in Livingston are to report to work if conditions allow. The parish expects to reopen schools Thursday, Feb. 18.

LSU is closed Wednesday, including the vet school and law center. All LSU classes and activities scheduled for Wednesday, whether in-person or virtual, are canceled.
A Lafayette truck dealership is expanding even more as they ve recently paid $5.5 million for a Baton Rouge dealership.
Schilling Acquisitions LLC of Lafayette bought the Timmons Truck Center, which is located on the corner of O Neal Lane and Old Hammond Highway. The deal was finalized and filed on Friday with the East Baton Rouge Parish Clerk of Court s Office.
According to Chris Schouest, president and executive officer of iTA Truck Sales and Service (a member of Schilling Acquisitions), iTA also has locations in Lafayette, Houma, Lake Charles, New Orleans, and Slidell.
The company sells and leases International brand trucks, tractors, and buses.
