CHARLESTON, W.Va., Feb. 12, 2021 /PRNewswire/ Women s lacrosse team members at California State University, Fresno (Fresno State), filed a sex discrimination class action against Fresno State today for discriminating against female student-athletes and potential student-athletes in violation of Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972. The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California, charges the school and school officials with violating Title IX by depriving women of equal opportunities to participate, athletic financial aid, and treatment; eliminating the women s lacrosse team at the end of this academic year; and treating the team far worse than any other varsity team in the meantime.

Ohio Stadium athletics revenue increased 11 percent in 2019-20 to $234 million, according to its annual report to the NCAA.

COLUMBUS, Ohio The early months of the coronavirus pandemic did not prevent Ohio State athletics revenue from reaching a new high in 2019-20.
Ohio State claimed almost $234 million in revenue for that fiscal year, per its annual financial report to the NCAA. That was an 11% increase from 2018-19 revenues. The university also reported expenses of $215 million, which was a 2.4% drop from the 2018-19 figures. After reporting a budget deficit in 2018-19, the 2019-20 report reflected a surplus of $19 million.
