Mark R. Blackwell, 60, of Sand Road, Adams, NY, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, February 6, 2021 at his home.
Born on August 14, 1960, in Watertown, son of Earl and Flora (Liptrott) Blackwell Sr., he attended Sackets Harbor Central School.
Following school Mark began a lifelong career as a finish carpenter with the Local Carpenterâs Union until 1990. He retired from Bette & Cring Construction Group in Watertown after many years of service.
Mark was an avid hunter, trapper, fisherman, gardener, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and teaching them how to hunt and fish. Mark and his son Jesse with the help of many friends and family built their home which was a lifelong aspiration of Marks. Mark and Jesse spent countless hours working on many projects that brought great joy to him. They spent many hours working in their vegetable garden. It brought Mark immense happiness to provide for his family and friends. He was loved by many for his huge heart and great tea

On Christmas night of 2020, Ray O Neill went quietly to the Lord from Butte, Montana, at the Springs Memory Care Unit. Ray battled against diabetes, later dementia, and finally COVID-19.
He called Butte, MT, his home for 88 years. Born the first son of Jerry O Neill and Alma Pankey on Sept. 19, 1932, he shared a great life with his two brothers, Jerry and Jim. His sister, Sharon, later joined the family, and was much loved by the three older brothers. Joining the Navy in 1952, he was trained in and fell in love with photography, which became a lifelong passion. His service involved recording on film the early stages and development of Polaris missiles. After the Navy, he returned to Butte to work in camera shops, work on projects for his mother, and had the good fortune to go on a date with a young nursing student from Drummond, MT, â Wilma Enman. Wreaths Across America held locally for 29th year
Wreaths Across America held its 29th annual ceremony on Saturday in Rome. Due to the Coronavirus, a ceremony that normally draws a large crowd each year was scaled down. A smaller ceremony was held at the Evergreen Cemetery in Rome.

ROME, N.Y. - Wreaths Across America held its 29th annual ceremony on Saturday in Rome. Due to the Coronavirus, a ceremony that normally draws a large crowd each year was scaled down. A smaller ceremony was held at the Evergreen Cemetery in Rome.
Wreaths were laid on the gravestones of fallen veterans honoring them for the sacrifices they made for our country. Among those participating in this year s ceremony were members of the Local Carpenter s Union and the Girl Scouts.
