SHELTON -Center Stage Theatre is presenting a high-energy production of âThe Wedding Singer: The Musical Comedy,â featuring the Youth CONNection.
This summer marks the 38th year for this program for students and young adults ages 14 through 23.

The cast of âThe Wedding Singer: The Musical Comedy,â which plays through Sunday at Sheltonâs Center Stage Theatre.
After a difficult 15 months, including the groupâs first summer (2020) without a summer show, these young performers are ready to transport the audience back to big hair and rock music as they bring this very funny musical to life.

SUN CITY CENTER, Fla. Harold Noyes Patch, a.k.a. Dan Patch, died on June 6, 2021, in Sun City Center, Fla., at the age of 94. He was born in Proctor, Vt., in 1926, and lived with his family in Pittsford, Vt. After a year in the U.S. Navy, serving at the end of WWII, he attended Bryant College in Rhode Island.
His first teaching job was at Middlebury High School, where he taught business for ten years and met his wife, Mary, marrying in 1952. The family moved to North Haven, Conn., and Dan taught at Shelton High School. He eventually became their first computer center director, ushering the city of Shelton, its school system and the students of Shelton into the computer age by directing the operation of one of the first time-share computers on the market.

Governor Ned Lamont, Connecticut Acting Commissioner of Education Charlene Russell-Tucker, and Connecticut State Librarian Deborah Schander announced the launch of the 2021 Governor s Summer Reading Challenge – an annual, statewide program encouraging students to read books during the summer months. This year s theme is Tails & Tales.
Subscribe Research indicates that children who do not read during the summer can lose reading progress made during the past school year,
Governor Lamont said. We want to encourage all students to read, learn, and have fun with books during the summer months. Building confident and proficient readers will put our students on the path to become productive, engaged lifelong learners,
