SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 24, 2021 /PRNewswire/ Colin Crawford, dean of the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville, is joining Golden Gate University School of Law as its 16
th dean.
GGU President David Fike announced the hire to the university on February 18, and Dean Crawford will join the San Francisco school this summer. The state Senate voted unanimously Friday to confirm the appointments of longtime Maui attorneys Chris Dunn and Jim Rouse as 2nd Circuit judges.
Dunn will serve as a District Court judge, while Rouse will serve as a District Family Court judge.
“I found my career as a community defense attorney here to be very rewarding,” said Dunn, who has had a private practice in Wailuku for the past 18 years. “I feel like it was a public service of sorts, particularly the opportunity to represent indigent defendants on a court-appointed basis.

HONOLULU – Chief Justice Mark E. Recktenwald today appointed two individuals to fill judicial positions in the District and District Family Courts of the Second Circuit.
Christopher M. Dunn has been appointed to the District Court, replacing Judge Kelsey Kawano, who is now sitting on the Circuit Court bench. Dunn has 25 years of trial experience, handling a high volume of cases representing privately-retained and court-appointed clients in District, Family and Circuit Courts, and administrative proceedings. He has been in his own private practice on Maui for the past 18 years, and previously was in private practice in Massachusetts. Dunn is a graduate of George Washington University Law School, an
